Program: Mixed use, ecologically friendly industry/manufacturing and housing

Location: St. Louis, Missouri
38 Degrees North, -90 Degrees West

The energy performa and analysis were used to confirm passive and active sustainable design strategies.

The following information, data, and models were completed in several energy modeling programs, testing the consistency in the results. The design was modified to minimize the energy consumption, reduce the carbon footprint of the of building, and minimize overall energy costs.
Weather Summary |

Saint Louis experiences average highs in the summer of 95 degrees Fahrenheit and lows in the winter in the 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The humidity and relative dew points are high for the region. Daily sky coverage is clean 60% of the year; mostly in the summer and fall months.

The prevailing winds are northwesterly in the winter and south-southwesterly in the summer. The precipitation is highest in the spring and summer months, averaging four inches from March to August.
